Hello.

Sometimes, after watching live TV for a while and mostly/always (not sure here) when zapping through channels, the screen turns black and nothing happens (actually looks like it crashed) until I hit the stop button on my remote to get back to the TV screen. Sometimes it also says "couldn't start timeshift" or something like that.
When I then try to start the TV again it says unknown error (or something like that, I'm not using English). Neither a MePo restart, nor a TV service restart fixes this, only a reboot does.

I took the logs I included after this happened to me, when I rebooted, it worked again. This already happened a couple of times and is very annoying.

I hope you can help me out here! Thanks!

So, I did some testing...

It looks like after resume and starting to watch TV, after first zapping to another transponder (e.g. in Germany from ARD to ZDF) causes the crash. As long as I stay in the same transponder (ZDF to ARTE) no freeze until changing to another.

I gonna try to upload the tv.log

Hope, someone tries to help...

I kept on testing...

Seems nothing to do with change of transponder. Even on same tx I had freezes...

Are you using MP Audio Renderer from https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...renderer-better-video-playback-quality-84441/ ???

I did, now I disabled it (regsvr32 /u) and no problems so far...

Hi

What version is the driver for the FloppyDTV, I had the same problem with version prior to 5.0.6070.3000
The latest one from the integrated driver setup.

I now have a different problem: after zapping through channels for a while (like a lot of channels - 30-40), zapping sometimes takes a little longer and sometimes I just get a fully green screen (with sound), which only disappears when I restart MePo (start/stopping TV doesn't solve it).

Anyone had this before? I think it's related to the PowerDVD9 codecs.

hi twinturbo,

I had a terratec synergy dvb-s2 card, that's the same card as the twinhan dvb-s2.
My card always crashed after watching tv for an hour or so.
The problem of this was an overheated lnb-ic (under the heatsink), it became so hot (over 140 degrees) that it's termal protection was activated.
only rebootig resets that protection.

I mounted a bigger heatsink (2 times as big) on the ic, but the ic became again verry hot---> no tv

Then I bought another card ---> problem solved.

The terratec synergy s2, technisat skystar hd2, twinhan dvb-s2and the azurewave ad-sp400 are the same cards.
