Hello all. I've searched and found several FAQ's and posts concerning live TV but none that fits my description or solves my issue. Here's the situation:

After months of flawless performance, I noticed that the video was stuttering occasionally while watching live TV. The sound did not stutter. When watching a video the issue only got worse. The UI also seems to "stick". I would press a button on my MS Media Center Keyboard and it would take 2-5 seconds for the command to register.

I then removed and reinstalled MP 2.1.0 and this did not fix the issue. I also tried several decoders to no avail. At this point I was completely puzzled since MP had been working perfectly since the release of 2.1.0. As a last resort I removed MP, deleted the MP folder, and reinstalled. This temporarily fixed the issue. Tonight MP tried to record the first show since the reinstall with the second tuner while I was watching another channel and the stuttering returned. Now I'm right back where I started despite the fact that the show is done recording.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Are there any clues in your MediaPortal.log file?

Is the stuttering related to timeshifting (ON or OFF?)?

When you first noticed the "stuttering", had you made any recent changes to the PC - new TV card drivers, for example?

    Hi there,

Thanks for your reply. All of these things are happening with timshifting on and off. I also tried rolling my PC back via a restore point to a day I knew everything was working, and this did not work either. I also defragged my hard drive which also didn't help.

Are there any clues in your MediaPortal.log file?

Could you re-boot your PC, start MediaPortal and produce the "stuttering", then close MediaPortal and post the resulting MediaPortal.log file here as an attachment?

That might give us a clue?

It would also help if you described the steps you took to produce the stuttering and note where (by time stamp) in the MediaPortal.log file they occurred.
