When using mediaportal (singleseated) - tv3 livetv and do a channel change (SD channel, not even a HD channel) I get initially no sound, after a few seconds sound comes back, but video freezes and after a few more seconds both audio and video are in sync, this happens most of the time. (installed dvbfix, checked various codecs...) Other applications work without problems. But want to have MP running !!!!! What am I missing ?

I had the same problem. I just changed the audio codec to a different one used for video. That worked very well for me.
good luck

Indeed, I changed to another audio codec and problem of delayed audio solved, but now for some channels I don't get sound anymore.

Use FFDShow Tryouts for all your audio codecs, plays anything, the only setting you need to change in its config besides your output, is under the codec tab MP1\MP2 is by default libmp3, change this to libavcodec, this allows mono channels to work correctly.
