Ok, I have a problem, but I also have the solution, I just don't know how to implement. I'm having problems with my clearQAM playback of SD channels. I had my filter set to ArcSoft Video Decoder for both MPEG-2 and H.264 Video Decoder in MP Settings. Well, the jittering was driving me nuts while playing SD channels, so I decided to hunt down the issue. As I started playing with filters, no matter what change I made in MP's settings to the MPEG-2 filter, everytime I checked graphstudio it was still using the ArcSoft Video Decoder while playing SD channels. So, I used graphstudio to unregister ArcSoft (knowing full well that this would break my H.264 playback on HD channels as no other codec works well with the HD-PVR). So, then it wanted to use PDVD8 for the SD channels, well that one had issues too, so I tried to switch to MPV. Still didn't want to take the setting, next time I checked with graphedit, it was still PDVD8, so I unregistered it too. Go figure, MPV loaded and got rid of the tearing. So, I reinstalled ArcSoft Video Decoder so I could select it for H.264 again and then double checked all my video decoders again by loading up MyTV and checking with graphstudio. Wouldn't ya have guessed it, ArcSoft was taking over MPEG-2 decoding again even though I have MPV set as the decoder in MP's settings. Anyone have a guess of how to fix it? I just want MPV to be my MPEG-2 codec and ArcSoft Video Decoder to be my H.264 and all my stupid quality issues will be fixed. Thanks for any help someone can give me.
P.S. I can see in graphstudio that the MPV codec is loaded, just not in use. Arcsoft's always takes the priority. I've also tried lowering ArcSoft's merit and raise MPV's to no avail.
