I'd observed this back in RC2 but it's gotten little attention. It is a cosmetic issue but could be related to how some of the code interacts - maybe? Thought I'd rereport this as we head toward RC5 and a final release this Summer.

Here's a link to the original post. I just checked my RC4 and it has not changed so the images posted are identical.

    Thanks!

I don't mean to be pushy and have acknowledged this is mainly a cosmetic issue, but I'm concerned it will remain this way if it doesn't generate much discussion/confirmation.

    Untouched in RC5 and RC6

Is anyone looking at this? All it needs is for the Right Hand time to be changed to Time-REMAINING instead of TOTAL-Time when My-TV is playing a Recorded-TV file and we'll be consistant with past final releases.

This is a skin related error. Please post in the respective forum thread ;)

Please, please, please let's not discount this as being a skin-specific issue - it's also this way in Blue-3-Wide. Sorry if I'd posted an image using StreamedMP above. Here is the same file being played back under RecordedTV using the B3W skin - so I think the settings for the progress bar are controlled within the base MP application, or B3W.

Hmm, you´re right! Although in the skin files the property "#currentremaining" is set it displays the total playtime. This is definitely a bug. Will report it to our devs ;)

Thanks for helping out on this... I'd originally reported it in April under RC2. I took your advice and posted this Progress bar in RecordedTV shows Total Time instead of Time Remaining, why? on the StreamedMP forum...

I hope fixing this RecordedTV issue doesn't break the LiveTV progress bar's functionality. (It shouldn't based on past Final releases which have all displayed correctly!)

Let me know if there's any testing I can do!

It may be this way by design, because live TV and recored TV use the same OSD, so for live TV there is no such thing as time remaining - it uses the end of the program instead.

I think we should be cautious about changing this at the present time.

    As I'd stated:
(It shouldn't based on past Final releases which have all displayed correctly!)

Yes, if I remember correctly, we had some debate recently about whether TV recordings should use the video OSD or the TV OSD. It could be that previous releases used the video OSD, and now we are using the TV OSD.

I will have to look into this and try to find out what changed and why.

Let's face it, having the total time rather than the remaining time is not exactly a big issue.
