When i change channels, it takes maybe 5 seconds to switch which is okay.

If I accidentally change to a channel that is not broadcasting, mediaportal freezes for between 1-2 minutes, before returning, no signal found.

Is there any way to reduce this time?

MeMeMe, remember the people here can neither foretell the future, nor read the mind of your MP system remotly. So to get some help, you need to provide the community with a way to do that.

So check the announcement thread in each support forum (here is a shortcut: MediaPortal Forum - Announcements in Forum : Television (MyTV frontend and TV-Server)) and provide the info, otherwise you will be ignored.

Specs, Versions & Logs are needed. If MP would have such issues as a general feature, you would not need to post it in the support section...

Hi MeMeMe. Could you attach Logs as well (when you change channel to a not-broadcasting channel and back again). Otherwise people increase channel switching time by putting the timeshift buffer into a RAMdisk, but your problem seems more TV card / driver related.

    Hi. Here are my logs.

I started mediaportal in debug mode, opened the guide, and clicked onto a problem channel.

Then I used Channel down to change to a broadcasting channel, waited for it to display.
Then I used channel up to change back to the non-broadcasting channel. When I did it this way, I got a different error message: "Unable to start time shifting."
