I've been using MP for a while now, and really like it for the most part. However, I have been having problems when playing a DVD.
When I play a normal DVD in my DVD drive, about 75% of the time I can watch for about an hour or so, then it will freeze and lock up. Sometimes I'll let it run for a while longer, then get a "Windows is running out of virtual mem" message. I am using the DScaler Mpeg2 decoder with the VMR9-Renderless for the renderer. Also, I tried watching Mirrormask and the audio was really choppy and unwatchable.
Now, at first I would think this was a problem with my settings, however if I rip a DVD to my drive, make an image, mount it with Alcohol 120 and play it, everything is fine.
Also, I haven't had it crash when using WMP or Media Player Classic.
I first thought it was a heat problem, but at all times both the DVD and the DVD drive are cool to the touch, so I am stumped.
For a system I have a Celeron 2.4Ghz Prescott, 512MB DDR, and a Radeon 7000.
Any suggestions would be fantastic!
