Logitech dinovo mediapad (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I have just purchased the dinovo keyboard w/mediapad. Initially, it works pretty well with MediaPortal, however I would like to get the media keys (play, stop, skip, volume, etc) to work as well. I guess it's just a matter of mapping properly in the logitech software / MediaPortal setup, but I was hoping someone had already done it and perhabs had a recipe for the perfect setup

Hi hjelms,

unfortunately no recipe... The only button you can configure on your MediaPad ist the Media-Button. I've configured it as "x" to be able to switch to fullscreen.

Volume should work without any changes because DiNovo changes the system volume. Only the little volume-picture in the top right corner does not appear. Skip and Back do work in MyMusic (because WMP is supported natively by DiNovo), but unfortunately not for MyTV.

I'm still looking for a good ExternalDisplay.xml for MediaPad's 3 lines. Unfortunately I don't have the time to change this myself at the moment...

Well, at least you told me that there is no simple solution. But I am definitely not going to settle for that I guess I'll have to poke around somewhere and see how I can remap those buttons...

Actually the solution is rather simple

You just enable in the remotes (along with any other remote you already use), "General HID"!

By this SIMPLE move, you can use your PLAY/STOP/FF/REW buttons both on keyboard and mediapad!

I am sure you can also use "web" etc. buttons but just enabling the above gives some good functionality already!!!

Actually the solution is rather simple

You are right, it is much easier I thought. Thanks for your help, now I have the time to discover all the other options in MP and I'm able to use my Logitech DiNovo Bluetooth (v 1, by the way and it works great! Never had Problems!) in MP, its so cool
