    Hi folks,

    currently I'm using a TechnoTrend S-1500 (http://shop.technotrend.de/shop.php?mode=show_detail&lang=de&group=3&s=&id=17)
The picture is ok and the card works, the "only", but not acceptable problem is that the card doesnt work after StandBy / Hibernate (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/technotrend_cards_e_g_tt_s2_3200-t20883.html).

We think this is based on the BDA driver that doesnt seem to be that "perfect".

So what I'm looking for is someone using the TVE3 with a plain and simple DVB-S (CI/Cam yes/no doesnt matter) budget card like the S-1500 that works after StandBy with the TVE3.

    Kind Regards, Muldini

    Hi,

Do you need DiSEqC? If not, you could consider buying a Hauppauge Nova-S. I have no experience with these cards, but a least my Hauppauge PVR150-MCE and 500MCE have always worked fine after resume from standby.

    Kind regards,
    Michel

That would be nice, it's quite shocking to me that in fact, I don't know about a single DVB-S budget card reported as working after standby, not to speak about CI :)

    Looking forward to your report.

Considering the skystar 2 I can definitely say that it works,
with the skystar hd I'm not quite sure (but rather positive than negative).

Could you specifiy what kind of test steps / logs you need?

    Yes, quite easy :)

    1) fresh start of your HTPC and TV-Server
    2) Start MP and tune to a channel
    3) Stop TV and go to Homescreen
    4) let Powerscheduler(!) enter standby
    5) resume your PC from standby
    6) enter MyTV and tune to a channel

tv.log and error.log (if created) would be interesting to see, aswell as the options used in Powerscheduler (reinit un/checked etc. etc.)

    Thanks again,
    Muldini

Hey, thanks for the quick test, as far as I can see in the logs you got the same problems like I have. Meaning the card does not work after standby.

Also saw your post about it in the tsreader thread, I don't think it is tsreader connected, please make sure it works with tsfilesource before posting there.

    Regards, Muldini

    Did another test,
this time using Technisat Skystar2 with driver version 4.4.0
    and latest tvserver svn.
After standby I can tune channels.
