Hi,

I have a few 720p CNET TV files that are in the .mp4 format on my computer. When I run them in mediaportal, the frames occasionally skip, without the audio and the video gets out of sync with the audio, i have to press the rewind button and then play to get it back in sync, but after 30 seconds or so, it is already out of sync.

Also, when I hit the pause button on these files, it stops and then starts again.

I am running on Windows XP wityh 1.25GB RAM and a Sempron 3000+ processor, I use the "ffdshow" codec and the blue3wide skin.

If i need to change to another codec please let me know.

Thanks for your help!

Hi

first are you using the latest FFDShow from here SourceForge.net: ffdshow tryouts: Files

See if that makes any difference, the other important thing is your graphic card\chip, a bit more detail would be appreciated.

Although 720 is not full HD it's pretty graphically intensive.

Hi,

My graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce MX 420. I can play these files perfecty in iTunes or VLC, so I don't think that is the problem.

I am just updating FFDShow now, i'll let you know about that!

EDIT: I can now pause video, but it still gets out of sync. Are there any other codecs I could try?
