So I think I answered the most important parts. I really just want to know if a 1.6Ghz Mac Mini with 2GB of RAM is underpowered for Mediaportal? I've got pretty much a stock build and am having what seems to me, slow startup times (2+ minutes with the TV plugin enabled, 1+ without). Additionally, just switching from My TV to My Radio to My Videos is not smooth AT ALL.

Am I underpowered or is something wrong?

I don't think it is underpowered for normal SD usage. For HD & HDTV maybe?

For reference, I've been running MP on ASUS EEE Box B202 for almost a year now. Streaming files over my NAS, playing back 720p MP4 & WMV files without a sweat. Using My Radio (web), My Videos, Moving Pictures, My TV-Series.

Check and update your graphics & chipset drivers to the latest drivers from Intel (Mobile 945 / GMA950).
