Mac Mini AC3/Remote (1 Viewer)

I'm having trouble getting VIDEO_TS files that I ripped using DiskShrink to play 5.1 out the optical port. Right now all I get is stereo... anyone have any suggestions?

Also, was anyone ever able to get a Harmony Remote working with the Mini's internal IR?

I know You can (at least in XP) choose from Optical or stereo connection in Sound card properties.
