Hi,
I have big problems with my system and the Terratc H7 tuner with scrambled channels and I have tried everything I can think of to resolve it. I think it is a problem with Mediaportal because the tuner works in the Terratec Home Cinema when it is not working in MP (not from these logs though). I do not know how to explain it best but I will try to pinpoint som issues I have seen. I am using Boxer in Sweden, have tried different CAMs, downgraded upgraded drivers for the H7, full windows update.

- The T5-tuner show 100%/100% when tuned in TV Server Configuration.
- The H7-tuner connected on the same antenna shows 0%/98%. Is there an incompability issue between MP and the H7-cards reading? Does MP check the signal levels in some logic?
- In TV Configuration, I cannot open the Ci Menu, nothing happen. Should it be so?
- Sometimes when the H7 failes to tune for example TV3, I can switch to another channel and then back again to make it work.
- When there is a failure in tuning, the error messages pops up really really fast, to fast I think. Sometimes, "unknown error", other times "no signal found" (mostly in 1.2.0 alpha).
- In the below zapping, no error messages appeared.

In the attached logs, I zapped like this.:
1. Kanal 5 worked the first time when starting MP 2010-11-21 08:49:04.510000. 0/0
2. TV3 -> ok
3. SVT1 -> ok
4. TV3 -> No new picture, last frame from SVT2 shows
5. Kanal5 -> No new picture, last frame from SVT2 shows
6. SVT1 -> ok
7. TV3 -> ok
8. Kanal5 -> ok
9. TV3 -> ok

If this happens with live tv it is annoying, but when the wifes recordings fails I am in trouble. Often the programs starts recording, the database shows that the recording lasted correct time but when playing it is not complete. Sorry, no logs for this.

I have tried 1.2.0 alpha but it was I went back to stable last night. Any ideas that can help me?

best regards

This time I just started MP in debug mode after deleting all logs.
1. Started TV and MP could not tune TV3 but no error message showed.
2. Clicked on "TV on" manually, error message came up but no picture.
3. Tuned to Kanal5 -> Worked fine.
4. Tuned to TV3 and this time it worked just fine.

Hi,
Can anyone please help me where to begin troubleshooting my problems.

I have similar problems with my Terratec H7 as other have with FireDTV and CAM and this has DieBagger created a fix for. https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...annels-sometimes-working-sometimes-not-71653/. This is though not valid for my card according to DieBagger.

I cannot access the CI menu from within TVserver, nothing happens, it is just a blank view. Why is that so? My thought is that is what causing the problems in some way. Perhaps in not relevant at all!?
From TV.log:
2010-11-24 19:28:16.312567 [(15)]: TvController: EnableCiMenuHandler called

I am now using a Dilog Viaccess CAM with 99025 printed on the front. I have now switched to a Red VIACCESSS CAM P/N 904240 Rev 1.0, the only one that worked before in my old FloppyDTV.

From TV.log with new CAM:

2010-11-24 19:41:21.259145 [TwinHan CiMenuHandler(16)]: MMI State MMI_STATUS_GET_MENU_OK

I suppose there is an issue between Mediaportal and the CAM, but how can it be fixed?

In the Terratec Home Cinema application, the H7 have not missed a tune to any channels.

I do not longer think this is a tuning issue, the problems is caused by something else. I will post in new threads with more specific descriptions. Perhaps someone will look into my problems better then.
