make laptop a DVR with mediaportal? (1 Viewer)

Can i use media portal to make an XP Home SP3 laptop a DVR to record from a wireless cctv camera. Do not want TV or to be on net. Just want to receive and record the pictures from the wireless camera. i am new and would appreciate any help

    dunno what you are trying to achieve but MediaPortal is MUCH more then that and can - as far as I know - only record from a tv card.
