First off all. Thumbs up for everyone who helped creating this awesome piece of software. Have searched long for this and was standing on the point to make it myself, but because of the little time it never happened. Hope have some day the time to contribute in dev.

After all the information, the question. I have a Medion PC from the discount group Aldi. The PC's are well known in the Benelux. I have first tried to get MediaPortal working and after installing the right encoders everything is working fine. (I know the TV card that was delivered with my computer has no hardware MPEG encoding). But what I really want is the server/client configuration. So just followed all the guidelines for installing the DBMS and TVServer. After installing the client plug-in I could make connection and see the available channels. Tuning to a channel gives the error 'No Video/Audio detected'. Back to the server I wanted to start in the conf the Manual Timeshifting so I could test it with VLC (as suggested in the manual), resulting in the same error after a few seconds. During the time I pressed the button to start Timeshifting and the error I hear the sound of the channel. So I would expect there is some problem with the s/w encoder. I expected this would work because there is a news post that says s/w encoding cards would be supported: https://www.team-mediaportal.com/news/global/support_for_s/w_encoding_cards_in_the_tvserver.html
How to make this work? And why is not the same tv engine as from MediaPortal used in the TVServer?
I hope there are enough details provided. If some question, just ask...
Thanks for help in advance.
