When I manually schedule (weekly) a recording (so not with the TV Guide) and the EPG does not know which program, I get a not working screen when I want to edit/modify this scheduled item. There is a label saying unknown label. Also I'm not able to set pre and post recording time.

I have exactly the same problem.
Did you manage to get this fixed in the meantime?

I don't know how but I don't have the problem anymore.
I think what helped was to set the default view in MP config to something else then Album (or something similar). I not able to check this now but I think I have set it to list.
