Manually adding Lost episode (1 Viewer)

Hi there,

My copy of season 1 of Lost has 25 episodes rather than the 24 shown on TheTVDB.com. Basically, the last episode (Exodus part 2) has been broken out into two separate episodes. I have manually added it into my database (it shows up as season 1 episode 25 in the database), but I can't get the episode image to show up. I've added a 400x224 JPG called "1x25.jpg" to "C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs\MPTVSeriesBanners\Lost\Episodes", but it doesn't show up in MediaPortal or in the configuration for MP TV Series.

Not a huge issue, but it's just been sort of bugging me. :) Any ideas on how to get it to show up?

Thanks!

TheTVdB shows Excodus as 2 episodes as well as per: Lost: Season 1 Episode List

So you have a wrong episode numbering going on. For example you might have the special "Lost - S00E01 - The Journey" mixed in there by mistake. Instead of manually forcing your own episode thumbnails, why don't you fix your filenames so that the plot descriptions match up.

Actually, my episode numberings are not wrong. See this thread on TheTVDB.com forums for more info: Online TV Database • View topic - Lost season 1 episode 25

According to later DVD and Bluray releases, Exodus is split into three 1 hour parts (episode 23 to 25), not a 1 hour part (episode 23) and a second 2 hour part (episode 24) as it was originally aired. Since the version I have is in 3 parts, I need a way to show the last episode in MediaPortal. TheTVDB.com follows the initial airing and DVD schedule, which used the 24 episode order, so it thinks episode 24 is the last one. That's why I had to add episode 25 in manually.

Or you use one of the wide variety of tools available to re-mux the 2 individual files as one.

My own favorite is AVI Mux-GUI, which can be used for AVI and MKV files.

As it is right now, MP-TVSeries will keep using TheTVdB existing 24 episode listing to overwrite your customisations. It is being worked on to allow more flexibility, instead of submitting the changes to TheTVdB (the series is locked so you wouldn't be able to do so anyway without filing a request on their forum). They are also working on overhauling their system to allow more room for situations like this and have already made some leeway with adding in multi-language support.

I'm sure there is someway you can do what you want, but I've preffered to make my collection compatible to the numbering used, less fuss that way

I know I can remux and join them together, but I'd prefer to keep them separate simply because the credits roll after the end of episode 24. It's not like it's one continuous 2 hour episode. That's why I added the episode manually to the MP TV Series database. The (minor) problem I'm having, is that MP TV Series isn't picking up the 1x25.jpg episode image I added for some reason.

You could name the episode just E24 instead of E25.
    youd get 2 eps 24.

greetings, Raymond - I solve my problems the easy way ;)
