As the title says, when I manually assign a video file to a episode, no information is downloaded (summary, thumb, etc). I tried with several shows and always happen.
Thanks

I have the same problem with MP 1.0.2 and TV Series 2.3 and 2.5. Nothing will make them import manually. I end up with a "blank" episode being inserted and any attempts to update the information give the following in the log file:
"This file does not exist. skipping c:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal"

I don't have my files stored there, all of my media is on another drive.

What do you mean by import? Run another auto import after manually adding the episode? I have not had to do this in the past with different installations (same version of MP and TVSeries). The only change on this system is I went from Windows7 RC to Windows7 Final.

I have this same issue but its intermittent. Running an import results in the file not being found, even though I confirmed it was in the imdb database (I put it there), and its title is identified when I try to manually import the file, but the import itself never takes place. Seems it just doesn't work properly, and I don't know any workaround.

UPDATE: Uh, my issue was my fault. I didn't have an Absolute number assigned on the data entry in thetvdb.com. Once I corrected that issue the file updated. Doh.

I've had this same problem. I just grab the info off IMDB and paste it in myself for the epsiode. It's a real pain, but some episodes just don't have all of the detail.

I've also noticed that the year always stays at 1900. This never changes unless i overwrite it.

I used to use the grabber but a few years back it disappeared on FreeSat DVBS. That is when I changed to EPG Collector. The extra benefit is that it collects from the Sky platform so it will give EPG for all the FreeSat channels plus the unencrypted movie channels on the Sky platform. It also allows me to pick the channels dedicated...

So not 100% sure if this is a MyTVSeries or FanArt issue, but the episode thumbnails always revert to the series default after restart. If you go to an episode and open the options and pick choose artwork then choose episode thumbnail it shows the correct thumbnail and says it is remote. Click on it and it goes local instantly and...

In the UK, the EPG transmitted in the DVB-T datastream allows each programme to have two genres -- a primary genre, and a secondary genre (i.e. a subgenre). The primary genre might be something like Film (or Movie in the USA). The secondary genre for Film might be something like: Action, Comedy, Crime, Fantasy, Romance, Science...
