Hi, anyone have any ideas how I can map the Back key on my DiNovo Mini to the Previous Menu function normally associated with the Escape key? On the DiNovo, Escape is a two key press, and not obvious enough for my kids to work.

Also, I could do with the volume keys working within MP, if anyone can suggest ways of doing that.

Mediaportal configuration -> General -> Keys and sounds -> Global actions:
Either add a new action (ACTION_PREVIOUS_MENU) or edit the one called "Previous menu (10)".

Also, I could do with the volume keys working within MP, if anyone can suggest ways of doing that.

Mediaportal configuration -> Remote -> General HID -> Use general HID device
This will enable all the media keys on your keybord

:D

Mapped the Back key, thank you! However, I am still struggling with the HID thing. It's ticked but the keys are still not working. I'm just attempting and untick, reboot, tick reboot sequence to see if there's just something screwy going on...hopefully that will sort it out.

Does any of the media keys work when you have ticked of HID? Play, stop, etc?

Situation is currently with HID ticked, the play/pause, stop, fwd, rwd work fine but volume doesn't, with it unticked, the opposite is true. I'm at work now, but when I get home later, I'll have a look at uberoptions. I spotted a link for it on another thread, but the link was broken, so thanks for the right link!

I've tried both uberoptions and the original software from Logitech, but you shouldn't need any of them. On my latest setup (Win7) I didn't install anything. Not even drivers. Everything works flawlessly.

Does the volume button work outside MP, adjusting "windows volume"?
What are your settings in Mediaportal configuration -> General -> Volume and settings?
Which Windows version are you using?

I have figured it out. MediaPortal volume responds to the + and - keys, which are Function + P and Function + [ (or something like that). If you have that full up, then the volume keys control the overall PC volume, so they are fit for purpose in that instance. I think my daughter must have managed to hit that - key and reduce the MP volume to 0.
