No that's what I've been doing over the GBPVR since 2004.. In 2004 I was using MediaPortal skin but now with all the improvements finally I can get out a skin theme for the users here. My first one will be 16:9 not 4:3 which I will be designing the skin mod onto PC to HDTV for testing.. What you see in first post are my templates I have lots more but I'll work with those for now...

Installed MP 1.31 today, and before I didn't have sub menus for TV and MovingPictures. My setup looked something like this...

Some videos break the aspect ratio of the output resolution to TV (even the MePo GUI changes aspect ratio)

I had to set it to "Maintain display scaling". I think it was set to "Maintain Aspect Ratio", which added black bars to MediaPortal when playing videos that didn't conform to a strict 16:9 ratio, I suppose.
Thanks to everyone for the patience and help, I can finally enjoy videos fully.
