MCE 2005 remote? (1 Viewer)

Does the 2005 (ie. latest) version of MCE remote work with MP without too much hassle? I'm new to remotes & HTPC....I noticed the option in setup, but is this compat with 2005 version? Or does it only work with MCE 2005 (I have XP Pro SP2 VLK)?

dman_lfc, I'm going to start building an HTPC, but the remote control part scares me (I remember trying Girder a few years ago).
I have a Harmony 659 remote. Is the easiest way to set it up as an MCE remote?

The MCE remote works great right out of the box with MediaPortal.

I can tell you that the MCE remote works perfectly. I can really recommend it to you because it will work 'out-of-the-box', no hasle, no 3rd party programs required.
