    Hi all,
I've reopened this thread from JoeDalton (MCEDisplay).
Here attached there are the NEW file of this plugin.
Because of the change made in the new MediaPortal version, the old plugin doesn't work anymore!

The main feature of this plugin is to make MediaPortal able to use any MCE compatible display: "If your display works in MCE it should work with this plugin in Meadia Portal too" ...and it does!!

So here the NEW plugin for MP 1.2B!!

Just extract the files in the MediaPortal directory

I was hoping to see this back some day. Great.

Will this also work with 1.1.3, or do I have to wait for 1.2.0 stable?

The plugin attached in the first post is 1.2 compliant, I don't know if it works with MP previous version.
Here attached you can find a previous release from JoeDalton that was working with 1.1.3 for me.

Let me know if you have problems with it!

Thanks for that. For some reason I believed that the MCEdisplay plugin had not been supported for several versions now. This one works with 1.1.2. But the information displayed is sometimes wrong (when changing TV channels) or simply not existent (Moving Pictures). It works well for Music.

Thank you for making this plugin compatible for Mediaportal 1.2.0. I have a question though. I adapted the old version of JoeDalton to work with my Siemens Scaleo C pc. That worked very nice. I could not only see the time of music and videos, but also volume settings etc.

Can I somehow get the sources of your adapted version to make it compatible with my PC? Thanks!

    Hi Emmer,
    no problem!
Here attached there's the source code for the 1.2

When you've done with your mod could you please send back the source files?
Maybe they can suit other display also!

    Ciao, G.

    Hi Gianlk,

:D Here the source code I changed to make it work better with the display of my Scaleo C pc. Unfortunattely the plugin is now a little slow. I do not have enough programming experience to make the code work better. Also, sorry for the little commenting :(

    Regards, Emmer
