Is this possible? Would it be through LIRC?

Thanks for any replies. :)

I believe to have seen the MCE remote in a list of remotes for MythTV. Since a certain relation between MythTV and Linux seems to eist, it should be possible to do *something* with your remote.
The keyboard... no idea. Keyboards in general are supported I suppose (really helps the usability  ), so the querty part will probably bahave decent. The rest?

Ah.. I didn't ask that question quite right. :)

If you have an IrMan, you can basically use ANY remote with it, using LIRC. It'll just pick up whatever IR signals are being transmited, and you can do with them what you like.

I'm after knowing is can I use the MCE USB reciever dongle with my MCE remote and keyboard under linux :)

There you go. That's what I should have asked.

    Hi James

I really think you need to check that one out on a linux support forum as to my knowledge everyone using MP uses windows XP Home/Pro.

I've setup my HDHomeRun in MP1 as (4) IPTV cards rather than Atsc. I can see the (4) Atsc cards, but just have them disabled. I did it this way so I didn't have to edit the channel names every time tested a new TV-server install. Anyway, it works. I don't know if this would get you past the BDA driver issue. I'll provide more...
