MCE Remote in Windows 7 (1 Viewer)

I've just installed Windows 7 RTM successfully and installed MediaPortal 1.0.2 on top of it. It's working pretty well. I'm also using the MCE Remote with a built-in receiver on the box (a SG33G5M barebone).

The remote works normally, except for several buttons. play/pause/stop/forward/rewind, and back/info don't work. Arrows/ok/volume and number buttons I can verify to be working normally.

Funny thing is, in the official WMC that comes with win7, all buttons work just fine.

In the config panel from MP, the mappings on the MCE remote are set. The info button is mapped to the context menu button. I've also tried the Reset button to make sure the mappings are default. No juice.

So I think I'm missing something here. Do I need something other than simply enabling the checkbox in the config to use the MCE remote? I don't know what else to do. Please help. The remote is pretty much useless now, and I only have a wired keyboard of which the wire isn't long enough.

Just to be clear: I'm running Windows 7 x86 RTM. No RC or beta or whatever. Official image taken from MSDN.

Hey thanks :)

I'm gonna try this tonight. In the mean time, are you sure this file is for win7 RTM as well? Because the thread you're referring to is old enough to cover only beta's and RC's.

If it works, I hope the MP team will include a permanent fix in the next version or so, with win7 being released to manufacturers and all.

Never mind the question about RTM or not. It's working beautifully :)
I can't verify every button, because I haven't used DVD and I don't watch TV. But judging from how it's working atm, I suspect everything will work normally.

remb0: are you also using the x86 RTM version? If not, your problem might be a different one...
