MCE Remote Keyboard half/working (1 Viewer)

Hey everyone,

need help with the MCE IR Keyboard from Microsoft, Using WinXP Pro. I read through some older threads, got the Service Pack2 and Rollup 2 but still having issues.

This may sound stupid, but i cannot use the keyboard for normal activities (typing letters, moving mouse-cursor with the mini-stick). The special navigation buttons from the keyboard do work in media portal.

This bugs me because i absolutely need to have my HTPC controlled completely by remote - do i need to switch from media portal to the microsoft MCE2005, just to have a fully working remote keyboard? (I DON`T WANT TO)

Finally, it works. Just in case another person is having the same issues: I downloaded a system bus-update from the intel (mainboard) website. With those new update drivers i got numerous issues solved:

- MCE remote keyboard fully works now
- External USB2 HD had a better recognition and booted faster.

In other forums i read that Windows XP SP2 results in USB issues.
In my case this was correct.
