I have managed to be able to get the computer to hibernate and wakeup with the MCE remote. Unfortunately, after waking up with the remote the MCE IR receiver seems to have crashed or something, since it doesn't respond to anything anymore (when pressing a button on the remote, the led in the receiver does not blink). I need to restart the computer to solve this problem. Some googling brought me to a small thread at The Green Button, but they didn't seem to know any solution. Has anyone else stumbled on this problem and managed to solve it?

TIA :D

does the USB port the receiver is plugged in to have power even when the PC is in standby?

I think I had a similar prblem ages ago and this was the fx for me. It also meant I could wake up the PC with the remote too.

In fact, waking up using the remote works, but after waking up, the receiver stops responding.

Try running the MCE standby tool, there is a setting to re-enable the ehome receiver after standby.

Yes it works with XP, and good for making sure your system will do what it's supposed to regarding standby\hibernate.
