MCE remote stopped working.... (1 Viewer)

I'm using MP 2.03 with Win XP PRO and the MCE remote wich was working just fine. Then the PC power button stopped working to put the computer into stadby. (even with out MP open) However it does work to wake it up..... any suggestions? THANX!

Mmmmg, read your title and thought "Hey, that happened to me too". But in my case, the remote totally stopped working. The advise was to lay the remote aside for a night without batteries, it sort of resets then. If the rest of your remote is still functional, youir problem is most probably unrelated, but it might be worth the shot.

If it is the batteries, onkl is right in one way, but 30 minutes should be ample for the capacitor to discharge.

Known problem.

Well, I took out the batteris overnight and put in new batteries this morning...still have the same issue. Any more ideas? THANX!

Look at power setting.

Right click desktop/properties/screensaver/power/advanced.

see what the setting is for "sleep button" should be hibernate.
