MCE Remote Wierdness (1 Viewer)

Hello all - I have an old - perhaps 2-3 years old MCE Remote and this week it has started this wierd thing where it will scroll through lists or during skip steps as if the user is holding down the button (like 10-15 keypresses in a row) without the user doing it - as if it gets temporarily stuck - we have replaced batteries.. rebooted machine..

Is it just going bad, or might it be something else..

Are you using any other app. for the MCE remote AND have ticked to use the MCE in MP config?

No, pc is dedicated to MP. MPTray is running, but it has been running alongside MP for months.. seems to be something new, haven't done any changes to MP config for a long time..

Try taking the batteries out for 30 minutes, see if that cures it.

On the original mce remotes, there was a capacitor that unless discharged, caused the remote to do weird things.

Hi. I have the same weirdness, I'm using a Fractal design remote, shown in tab 3 in remote config. This remote used to work fine when running mediaportal 1.0.2 but since upgrade to 1.1.0 Rx I have had this problem.

I'm now running mp 1.1.0 R5 on Win XP SP2

Any one that can spread some light on this sticky/repeating key problem. I is very annoying.
