MCE V2 is to fast... (1 Viewer)

I've a little Problem with my MCE V2 Remote and Mediaportal 1.02 ... in the past this Remote worked fine & without any problems. After a new install of the operating system my remote drives me nuts!
If I navigate with the Arrows thrue the Menu, the selection jumps mostly two or more steps.. It's realy hard to hit a specific entry in the menu. It seems that the Repeat Rate is to high... Where can i control this rate?
Any good suggestion?

I have the same problem with an X10 medion MCE remote. First i had to press every button twice for the remote to do anything, that was fixed when i installed the driver which came with the remote instead of the driver i got of mediaportal config. However now i have the exact same problem as you have. Would be really nice if someone had a suggestion as to what could be wrong and how to fix it. Its not only in the directional keys i have problems however. also with the "OK" button. when i try to inter movies i jumps staight to the first movie in the list instead of the list view itself.

Do you use:
- Any x10 application?
- IR Server Suite, or other application to control you remote?

If so, you might get "double effect" when this is selected in config as well.

Logs might help as well.

Hey Spragleknas your advice was quite usefull. I tryed to look in the Devicemanager(Enhedshåndtering) and found the x10 remote under Usercontrolled HID devices which expected. However under the keyboard tap i found another x10 device, that was also what I suspected. Since i dont have two X10 devices pluged in and the driver for the under under the keyboard tap was from 2001 i guessed that this was my problem. So i removed the device and now the remote works as it should.

However every time I reboot the machine windows installs the old driver again, andi have to manually remove it, is there anyway to keep stuff i have removed stay removed .

Perhaps all you need to do is disable it?
