Hi all..
Just wanted to share some info.
I have recently been using MP with WHS ( RC1 ), and although it works ok, WHS does not like being put into standby.
It will wake up by itself, regardless of what you do. Even with the LAN disconnected ( which rules out WOL Packets and the like ).
This is ( i think ) caused by some processes that need to either :
1 - Run all the time
or
2 - Wake up the server when it needs to run.
You could try to find and disable which process is causing this, but in the process you could render WHS useless..
If you don't mind having a server running 24/7, WHS will work just fine.
The bonus in leaving it on all the time, is that you can configure it to wake up your clients and back them up onto the server.
Anyway, just my 2cents worth. I'm going back to WinXP pro
cheers
