Mediaportal has started crashing to the desktop it has been happening for some time now. I have attached the logs.

I have 2 other issues I have been having ever since I used tve3.

1) every 3-4 Chanel changes freeze on the last Chanel screen. If i move up a Chanel on the remote it works and then i can move back to the one I just tied.

2) sometimes when I change Chanel it plays an old ts file from a few hours ago? if i disable then enable TV is works again?

I've had similar problem, channel changes intermittently froze MediaPortal. Had to kill it via the task manager. I've tried every single build of TVE3 for the last couple of weeks without luck. Yesterday I struck gold when I installed 0.2.3 Final + TVE3 build 16548. No more problems with channel changes

tsreader does give us some valid info.

This doesnt exactly look good.
Seems like there is no TS file ???
Could u try and monitor this ?

Have u setup the music database to include ur timeshifting dir ?
It seems so..try and remove it in mp.config or change TS folder in tve3.
Then try again.

Sorry Gib you are right I stupidly setup a D partition on my hdd. This was for music and I set TVserver to record and timeshit in the same directory. maybe this is the cause of some of my problems. I'll let you know how it goes. thanks for reading my post.

I have a feeling though that my C-1500 drivers might be at fault for the freezing chanel changes. there are quite a few people with the same card are having those issues.

Hi Gib my prblems have seem to got worse. now when I channel change doesn't work in the guide or the osd. if I move up and down chanel with the arrows it works, but I get random card unavailable errors, unable to start timeshift errors or it just keeps playing the same ts file over and over if i try change chanel??

I dunno what is going on can you have another look at the logs.

I just want to say that I love media portal and I really apreciate the efforts that you developers go to since you don't get paid. BUT...


I have had these issues from the first day I used media portal over 6 months ago. I posted this thead and there seems to be no one doing anything to sort them out. hopefully you can proove me wrong and give out saying you have been at least trying to fix these issues? So I'm asking are there any media portal developers out there? I'm hoping you are all busy working on version 1.0 of media portal so it actually works. If it was just one person having all these issues then I would put it down to my setup but there a thousands of people out there looking at these threads?? every one of them checking and downloading the latest svn's every single day praying that this version is going to be the one that solves NO AUDIO/ VIDEO, UNABLE STARTING TIMESHIFTING, NO FREE CARD AVAILABLE, TVSERVICE LOST.....................ON AND ON AND ON.

Someone please save us.
