Hi, I am attempting to watch TV on my PSP. For those who don't know this is possible because certain early versions of the PSP came with a firmware version that allowed for homebrew applications to be installed on the PSP.

With this in mind I have PSPVLC installed on my PSP. However the VLC server I have on my PC is not compatible with my TV card. (Which is a WinTV Nova-T DVB-T card).

The process in any case to use VLC to stream live TV is to say the least complex - and not ideal for every day scenarios. (You cannot for example change channels from the PSP).

So I was wondering if anything might be possible with MediaPortal?

I guess ideally having a MediaPortal client installed on my PSP would be the perfect solution - however if this is not possible, at least being able to stream MediaPortal content/TV from my TV card to the VLC client on the PSP might at least be a good stop-gap solution.

Can anyone offer any useful advice in this regard?

Oh rats NM. Media portal doesn't support the Nova-T either. It doesn't show up in the list of available capture devices on my Windows XP machine.

It would have been nice though.

MP does support Nova-T, there's a few listed here (remember and look under H for Hauppauge who are the NovaT manufacturers ;-)

I use both the NovaT-500 & NovaT-MCE.

Using the "ordinary" Nova-T with MP since ages here. Since it's BDA, there's no problem with supporting it.
