I use the Hauppauge 45 button remote with media portal. Media portal already knows the IR code of my hauppauge remote yet it accepts all signals from other IR remotes!
I checked from "learning" the other remotes have different codes. The problem arises with the volume up and volume down key from my Z-5500 remote. When playing a movie, those keys are recognised as number "0". So when i want to turn the vol. up it would input "00:00" which in turn makes the movie starts again.
The number for 0 on the hauppauge is 2000 in IR code. The volume up and volume down is know as IR code "0" (from learning tool). Why is medial portal registering it as input 0 when playing a movie?
