Media portal won't work (1 Viewer)

I have a media center pc, but I tried to update media center from microsoft, but it screwed up media center, so I'm trying this. But I can't get it to work. When I try to set it up with setup wizard, it says "No tv cards detected". I have a Hauppauge PCI PVR II Encoder tv card. I'm not exactly sure what the problem is. Can some one help?

Hi,

Restart MediaPortal setup, goto television -> capture cards -> try to add your tvcard (which will probably fail as you describe), then close setup. Next, goto the "log" directory and post the MediaPortal.log @ http://pastebin.team-mediaportal.com and post a link back here.

Please also describe the exact brand/model name of your TV card, preferrably with a link to the manufacturer of the card.

Thank you for replying! I will try both of them. MY tv card is made by Hauppage and it's a PVR PCI II, not exactly sure much more about it, because it came with my compy. I'll get back with you once I try both of those. Here's what they call it in my device manager: Hauppauge WinTV-PVR PCI II (Encoder-16)

Sorry for being a noob, but how do I get to the log?
Oh shoot, I just realized I put this in the wrong place.

The log is located in the Mediaportal\log directory.
