Hi
Is the new version installable on a clean Win XP 64b? If not are there any workabouts? The reason I'm asking is that I often have to reboot my server/client because they lock up. I'm currently running winXP 32 SP 3.
My HW is Intel 3 GHZ, 4GB RAM and 500 GB HD. 2 DVB s-2 cards
Running Multiseat with 3 clients. My local network is 100Mbs
I was hoping that maybe Win XP 64b was more stable, and I could enable more RAM?

Any suggestions?

    Hi,
Win XP X64 not supported, Vista X64 is. This it's due to lack of updates from M$ side for the parts we use.

    Vista 64 b

Thanx for your reply. Would my server and clients be more stable if I install Vista 64 bit?

    Hi,
That depends on hw, htpc /server vista x64 & client Vista x64 runs smooth without any hiccups, but even XP x86 did run smooth here when it was used as server so it all depends on what you use, hw used(driver support/MP integration) etc, try it & see what you think. I'll soon move over to Win 7 for testing & after what i heard thats even better then vista......

    Regards

My experience is that I have to reboot the server atleast once everyday. My HW should be efficient (Intel P4 3 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 500G Sata HD) My S2 cards are Floppy DTV and Terratec Cinergy. OS is WinXP SP3 with DVBFIX
I'm running M**PI with A**MD ver 5.1 with NewCS connecting to my legal V***at card. I know this is not supported in the forum, but could this be the problem?

    Hi,
Yeah, M***i can be the problem, but another thing could be grab epg from dvb-x, that has given me to reboot every other day & is on our table to find a solution.

    Hi,
For testing you should disable grab epg, you could use WebEPG, but then you need MP 1.0.2 in Alpha build it is removed because it was attached to old TV Engine & will be rebuilded to fit TVE3 @ a later state.

Should I disable on the Card(s) setup or in the General/EPG setup or both?

    Hi,
Disable it in General settings, that should be enough.
