MediaPortal 1.1.0 Roadmap Priorities (1 Viewer)

I had a look at the outstanding items on the MP 1.1.0 roadmap, and I think we might want to change some of the priorities for the 1.1.0 release vs. future-releases. Below is how I would have prioritised the deliverables, I based it on "Serious Bugs" vs. "New Enhancements/Small-Bugs":

MediaPortal - 1.1.0

- 0002635: [general] Moving around in Virtual Keyboard may log "Index was out of range" errors
- 0002578: [general] MP freezes if network share is not available
- 0001192: [Skin Engine] Flickering Tv-guide and other overlays with EVR enabled

MediaPortal - Future Release

- 0002615: [general] Integrate MPTray into MediaPortal Project (rtv)
- 0002600: [general] when deleting an item, focus jumps to beginning of the list (-Manfred-)


TV-Server - 1.1.0

- 0002650: [TvServer] CI menu handling can cause hangs (morpheus_xx)
- 0002641: [TV Movie Clickfinder Plugin] Clickfinder plugin should workaround Vista incompatibilities. (flokel)
- 0001792: [TvPlugin] Timeline is not working correctly when LiveTV is paused
- 0002623: [TsReader] Skipstepping causes MP to crash
- 0002577: [Streaming] Skip steps no longer work reliably in multiseat TV
- 0002624: [TV-Server Config (SetupTv.exe)] setuptv-DVB EPG: pressing the "all grouped" button selects all grouped and some random channels/radiostations (gemx)
- 0002606: [WebEPG] Using the "Replace" action on #DESCRIPTION causes duplication of the field value (arion_p)
- 0002636: [TvPlugin] Deleted recordings are not removed from database
- 0002239: [TsReader] TV Stuttering on channels of ProSiebenSat.1
- 0001658: [TvServer] Hauppauge HDPVR hangs TVServer if no devices are connected
- 0001472: [TvPlugin] total playtime of in progress recording does not update while watching from inside "recordings" - multiseat only
- 0001731: [TvServer] hauppauge nova hd dvb-s2 unable to change LNB on diseqc.
- 0002445: [TvServer] Hauppauge HVR-2200 cards don't tune FM properly (DMAN)

TV-Server - Future Release

- 0002629: [WebEPG] Allow weekday names to be configured in the grabber file
- 0002181: [TV-Server Config (SetupTv.exe)] Include TV Server configuration parameters in the import/export section.
- 0002160: [TvPlugin] Finish the client side of the conflicts manager plugin
- 0002545: [WebEPG] When parsing for sublink URLs WebEPG gets confused by paranthesis in tag's attributes
- 0001862: [TvServer] Change timeshift file handling to have only 1 file per user session which is preallocated
- 0001627: [TvServer] TV-server logging needs configurable rotation
- 0002387: [TvPlugin] When resuming recording the first video frame flashes briefly

- 0002125: [TvServer] Finish the priorities feature in TV-Server for scheduled recordings

Quick comments on few issue. Also few other issues has been postponed as not all developers are working on all areas (and some devs are just busy currently).

That wont most likely get ever fixed for MP1. Sorry, but there is no point in spending more time on it (I personally did already spend one month of free time over a year ago on that issue).

- 0001472: [TvPlugin] total playtime of in progress recording does not update while watching from inside "recordings" - multiseat only

Huge change -> too risky for 1.1.0 (unless we would delay it for many months).

0002239: [TsReader] TV Stuttering on channels of ProSiebenSat.1

Broadcaster issue, that would require hack on TVE3 (all other players are also affected). Could break other nicely playing broadcasters -> too risky.

Ahh! That's why MP keeps trying to start a second time! And there was me thinking that my hand was just a little shakey pressing the button twice I've a doctored ehshell.exe kicking it off on W7. I'll try removing it.
