MediaPortal Version: RC6 july 2 '10
MediaPortal Skin: streamedMP
Windows Version: xp MCE 2005
CPU Type: sempron 3000+
Video Card: HD 3450
Video Card Driver: Catalyst
MPEG2 Video Codec: ffdshow
h.264 Video Codec: ffdshow

I'm having a weird problem with my codecs. dxva and mediaportal don't seem to match. When I play a .mkv file with mediaplayer haali boots up in the taskbar, so does ffdshow dxva and ffdshow audio decoder. When i try the same thing in mediaportal everything is fine EXCEPT it uses the normal ffdshow instead of the DXVA version. result= choppy, stuttering video playback because my CPU is vastly underpowered. graphedit is showing that the DXVA codec should be used.
What is going on??

please help me cuz this is unbearable to watch...

In FFDShow video config, you need both h.264 and VC1 to be set to disabled, this should force FFDShow DXVA to take its place.

Go to ffdshow DXVA video decoder settings -->Direct Show control --> !!Uncheck!! Use ffdshow only in:

    Try again.

EDIT and yes make sure u got the right settings like Paranoid mentioned above.
