Mediaportal and Meedios merger (1 Viewer)

Any more news on the proposed merger, as i just popped into look at the meedios website to have a look around and noticed a link to http://www.meedios.com/mpedios/

this is a forum discussing the merger, including new name ideas and other stuff

Yeah there's some work going on. last month something went awry with this forum and a load of Mpedios topics and sub forums showed up...

Merge the project if it makes sense but please do not change the name MediaPortal.

There is an absolut bs-discussion going on in the forum of the other project.

I agree, leave the name as is.
After all Meedio is dead as far as Open Source goes and the name "MediaPortal" actually means something i.e "a Portal to your Media". What does Meedio mean anyway?
Just my two cents...
No doubt someone will take offense, oh well... :-(

All I meant is that is that it has gone commercial now.
Mind you, there's nothing wrong with people wanting to make some money, it's just I like the spirit of Open Source, thats all.

Dont worry - they arent changing the name. I cant remember exaclt what the new name is.. something like MediaPortal [xxxxxxxxxx] and i cant remember what the xxxxxxxxxxx is. something like .. urg i cant remember lol.
