I have checked with Graphedit and shift-1, while playing a X264 1080P movie with standard DTS Audio. The Audio is re-encoded to nice AC3 5.1, but a littlebit of the detail and depth is lost, compared to the original and decoded by the Marantz DTS decoder (I can check playing directly in TotalMediaPlayer 5) but it is more then adequate. With shift-1 I can confirm Video is speeded up a tiny bit, from 23.something FPS to 25 FPS, the green line is still a bit wobbely (time required to render each frame), but the red line is allmost straight!, Before using mpaudioerenderer with this movie the red line show a spike down, allmost every second. Graphedit shows Mediaportal Audio renderer is now used to render the audio. Maybe I can improve the audio quality a bit by increasing the sample depth to 24 bits, will tweak a bit more tonight. I have one movie with 1500 bps DTS that now acts as a slide show, and no sound.. It is a m2ts file, reamed to mkv so it could be splitted by LAV Splitter, but now I have installed Haali again, I guess this is a splitter issue, and has nothing to do with ffdshow or mpaudiorenderer.. changing the extension back to m2ts did not help. Will teak on this movie tonight as well. QUESTION: Is it possible to use AC3 passthrough with TV Only? because with TV there is no need for re-encoding, because it is delivered by my cable company in 720P50 or 1080i50 anyways and matches my TV refreshrate perectly. It works, but sounds seems a bit unstable now with TV, like the sound cannot find a center position or something, voices in a talk program move around the center and are not as focussed as it was before. Thanks! Lots
