I have no idea of how to use the tags. So i'll put it in this post.

I have an ATI 650 pci-express TV Wonder card.

I installed Mediaportal, and it is not seeing the card during the settings initiation.

Is Mediaportal compatible with this card?

Bump.

I know MediaPortal is supposed to be comptatible with ATI cards, but the 650 tv wonder is so new
that I wonder if it works with it yet.

I know I can't seem to get MediaPortal to recognize the card..

Any ideas on what to try?

If it has bda drivers then TVServer should recognise it automatically.

Does this come with seperate drivers or are they part of ATI Media Center.

The problem is that I just got a Diamond tvw650pcie card from Dell this past week.

And it didn't come with an owners manual or drivers disc, or software disc.

I called up Dell and they are replacing the entire package, but I hate to have to wait another week.

So I downloaded several different older drivers, media centers, etc.

One was the Snaptstream Beyond TV trial program, which worked.

I spent a couple of days on this, and long story short, I'm not positive that I still had the
correct ATI driver installed when I installed MediaPortal.
But the Beyond TV app was working properly though, so I think I did.

Meanwhile, I noticed after I installed the MediaPortal that quite a bit of stuff related to
    sql server software was installed.

So assuming that I simply did not have the ATI driver installed, can you tell me
what I need to install to just get the tv tuner to work?

All I want to do is watch tv on my pc. I don't even have immediate plans on recording programs.
    Just watching them.

For what it's worth, I wasn't able to get MediaPortal to work, so I tried Easy HDTV and it works perfectly.

Very small footprint, extremely fast download time and it only does exactly what I need it to do which
is let me watch tv on the ATI TV Wonder card.
