mediaportal.configuration problem (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I really could use some help trying to solve the following problem

I've tried to install a .mpi file by using the mp installer. But then the following error pops up

could not load type 'MediaPortal.configuration.Config' from assembly 'Utils, Version=1.0.2546.32604, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'.

Can anyone help me fix this problem ?

What's the plugin (mpi) that you are trying to install and what version of MediaPortal are you using?

I'm using Mediaportal version V0.2.2.0

the mpi i'm trying to install is: UitGemist_0.2.3.mpi (it's a dutch streaming tv. This plugin makes it possible to browse and watch the internet streams provided by uitzendinggemist)

I think the MP Installer tab in plugins was only introduced in MediaPortal 0.2.3. I am not even sure if it was in RC1 or if it followed in an SVN.

I would also suggest that as the plugin has 0.2.3 that it is probably designed for version 0.2.3 of MediaPortal unless it is a strange coincidence that the plugin version number is currently the same as the RC versions of MediaPortal.

I may be wrong, but these are my guesses.

Mew is correct, MPI introduced just prior to 0.2.3.0 RC2, so would recommend that is used as MP installation.

Also be aware some of the new plugins\skins may also require a svn installed from a certain date after RC2's release to work.

It needs a updated list of which plugin works with which MP release.

I do not use that many plugins, so not the best person to supply this information.

you are right. I've installed the new version of mediaportal and the plugin works fine now!
