Every time i try scanning for channels Mediaportal Crash, i have purchased a new Sat Card ( Skystar 2 ) and that does the same. My last card Twinhan DVB-S 2 CI done the same.
Has anyone had the same problem??? someone help please i am new at this and this software looks the best around.

Gigabyte GA-K8NSC-939, 2gb DDR Ram
AMD Athalon 64 3500
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
2 x Sata 250 gb drives
Skystar 2 PCI
Wireless PCI card
No Bluetooth Devices Installed
Not Overclocking
Drivers:
Video driver Version ATI 8.231.0.0 21/2/06
Software:
Windows XP Media center edition
Service Pack 2 Installed
Direcx X 9.0c installed
Power DVD 6.0 OEM 6 ch installed
WinDVD not installed
DTV Application not installed DVB-S MCE Plug is installed
Signal Environment:
Based in UK, Cornwall on the Lizard.
Exterior 80 cm dish with .2 db LNB
Its a twin LNB and feeds computer and s*y box.
I am not sure on cable manufacturer but was best i could buy
No splitters or amplifier.
Signal level is very good 95% quality 100%
