    Hi,

Until now I cant say I am very pleased with MP 1 RC1, because I have not been able to get it running.

It seems to be installed correctly
TV Server works, I have rescanned the channels successfully

When starting Mediaportal, the splash screen comes on and crashes at the moment it is "Adding Filters"
The same for when I try to start Mediaportal Configuration.. Crash when "Adding Filters"

I have looked briefly at the logs, but it seems Windows actively refuses access to some files mediaportal needs.

    Important to know:

I have uninstalled mediaportal 0.2.3 and mediaportal TV server manually before installation of RC1 refresh
I was unable to completely delete the Team Mediaportal directory, because Windows says it is used by some program (it does not tell which one) However the directory seemed to be empty. So I installed the new RC1 Refresh with still the Team mediaportal directory on the C drive... Installation seemed to work fine.

Also, I Installed Vista SP1 before deleting the old Mediaportal and TV server and then install RC1.

So, What is going wrong here?

    Logs added

    Thanks,

    Lots

EDIT: Windows messed up the registry, which in turn messed up the Mediaportal Directshow filter setup. It appeared the SP1 installation did not properly removed invalid and obsolete registry entries, while Mediaportal tried to use these, causing MP to crash..

Used Filmerit to repair/remove errors and also to repair the registry. After a reboot all works fine now!

Thanks to ronilse, who pointed me in the right direction :D

REQUEST TO THE MODERATOR: Please replace the FIXED Icon with the NO BUG Icon.. Because it was not Mediaportal causing the problems.. I cant select it here.

    Regards

    Thanks!

You were right, checking with filmerit and cleaned up the registry for 11 errors and removed 150 or so registry entries that were not properly removed during the SP1 Update.. what a mess!

But all is OK now and working fine!

I got this problem under XP SP3, neither Filmerit nor Radlight Filter Manager would load. I solved it by reinstalling DirectX March Update.
