I'm having two problems.

MediaPortal crashes upon starting up from S3 sleep
It does not happen all the time, but 90% of the time. I prevent any device from waking up MP and I'm fine with that. I'm used to hitting the turn on switch on my PC to wake up the PC but it always hangs, giving me a black screen without anything. I then have to press Ctrl, Alt, Del to end MediaPortal (not responding) and then start it again. What's wrong here?

MediaPortal does not turn on and record programmes after being programmed to do so
I noticed that unless I specially turned on my PC and told it to record a currently-running show, any other types of recording do not get recorded.

Some things I did previously (hopefully could help you guys in troubleshooting)
I once installed the TV Server 3 but later removed it. Could any configuration I have done that affected it?
I have set MCE Receiver Service to start on its own (I once disabled it for installation of TVServer 3)

Hardware information required to answer properly, usually caused by drivers not loading quickly enough.

Do you mean by using the powerscheduler plugin, and letting MP (in home screen with nothing playing) hibernate\standby itself, if so try using the latest svn as many improvements on the powerscheduler plugin (would have been nice if you had said which version of MP\svn you were using).
Also MP will not turn itself on, that is the BIG advantage of TVE3 as it runs continuously as a service.

Any MCE services relating to automatic running need to be disabled for MP to run successfully.

    - Is there anywhere I can get the hardware information easily (ie: dxdiag or something?)
    - In the event I am not able to acquire the information, what measures can I take to speed up loading of drivers? Actually, I never experience any of those problems prior to installing TVE3 which I later removed.

Also MP will not turn itself on, that is the BIG advantage of TVE3 as it runs continuously as a service.

The thing is, I'm not using TVE3 any longer. I switched back to MP 0.2.2.0 because I could not get the EPG going.

Thanks for the reply though, really gave me hope.

This is what i meant by hardware

How to start a support thread:
Choose a meaningful title for your thread.
At the moment you start a new thread in the support forums, the hardwarespecification template will be added automatically. If the template is empty, then you have not filled out your specifications in the usercp yet.
note: You MUST attach a complete hardwarespecification to your support thread!
Add a detailed, step by step description of your problem.
If your problem occurs inside MediaPortal or the configuration program, then ATTACH all *.log files located in MediaPortal\logs to your post.
Do NOT copy/paste your logfiles (or large parts of them) in your post.

It can tell us about a lot of known hardware issues in relation to standby problems.
