The crash happens while Mediaportal is idle, not playing anything. I switch the TV to the input that runs Mediaportal and I see the Windows System.FormatException crash notification. Happens when running StreamPM and Aeon skins. I tried a total format and re-install of XP and it still happens. Any insight as to what could be causing the rash would be greatly appreciated. I see in the Mediaportal log (attached) where the System.FormatException is reported.

Anybody have any ideas? Identifying the plugin or the piece of hardware would be great, but this is starting to get annoying.

Could I have an incompatible Video card? I've used the motherboard and sound card with Media Portal already with no problems. Only thing I've changed recently that I can think of is the video card. I am using the latest ATI driver/CCC. Verified that when I reformatted everything and reinstalled from scratch over the weekend. I can't think of anything else to try.

    Hi,
Had a quick look & it seems to be related to MovingPictures plugin, i too use that plugin but haven't had a crash like that, but then again i'm using B3W as skin....

    Regards

I did first notice it after updating MovingPictures to the latest major version (0.7.1). I tried rolling back to the 0.6.6 build, but it still happened. Maybe I'll try a MediaPortal uninstall/re-install and only install MovingPictures to 0.6.6.
