Got this weird issue.......

Just went from xp to win7 and installed the latest stable mediaportal version but now i ran into a strange problem...
When i switch my lcd tv from mediaportal (hdmi) to tv and later back to mediaportal windows 7 re-detect hdmi connection and re-scale to the desktop resolution but mediaportal does not scale back to fullscreen, so on the right i see a part of my desktop.......the only way to fix this is to exit mediaportal and restart mediaportal.......

what the.......

anyone any idea's what went wrong here...........

Yes - Basic problem with HDMI and Mediaportal.

When powering off receiver/tv, the HDMI output switches to another resolution, and back agin, when powering on. But Mediaportal is not follwing resolution.

    Solution: Power off receiver/TV

Remote Desktop your Mediacenter from another computer(Not Microsofts - Use Ultravnc, Teamviewer or similar).

    Set correct screen resolution.

    Problem fixed.

Hopefully, this "issue" will be fixed in newer versions.............

Several users confirms this method - and with my ATI card, it remembers my settings.

I'm also having this same annoying problem as desribed in the first post with HDMI connection.

However when I use RealVNC to do this, Windows7 only allows me to select 1600x1200 as maximum resolution.

My projector is 1080p and I'd like to select 1920x1080 as a resolution. So basically the whole resolution is missing from Windows when I turn off my projector (or disconnect the HDMI cable) and remote desktop with RealVNC.

My video card is ATI Radeon HD5450

Any ideas how to enable windows to let me select 1080p when using VNC remote desktop?

    Thank you!
