    Hello,

I have run mediaportal for a long time with no problems (besides the occasional crash but what do I expect from windoze?!)

Now the tv channels have forgotten their order although not in setup (main program).

Could this be a DB error or disc error?

Any ideas how to solve it?

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hi Chris

Is this TVGuide displaying wrong,(Mine did after adding five US & Live) if so remove all programs under MP Setup\TV\Program Guide and use the button to remove.
Then delete the TVGuide.xml file from TeamMediaportal\Mediaportal\XMLTV folder and run WebEPG if used or wait for the EPG to repopulate from DVB stream.

Worst case scenario, delete TVDatabase as well. Hope you got your channels backed up (channellist.xml) Does make life easier for times like this.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I deleted TV DB and rescanned for channels but my order in EPG is still in the original order (straight after scanning).

Before this I did 'delete all programs' in EPG setup (is this the button that you were talking about?)

Both setup and settings have them in the order that I want but the EPG ignores this.

    What else could it be?

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hi,
In MP Setup -> Television -> TV Channel Groups -> Map Channels, you can now sort in each group.

    Regards

    Hi,

How would I change my group, as in can it be done by messing with the remote or would it be a setup thing? I didn't run setup inbetween the last good config and the problems started.

Have solved it by re-ordeing group "Unscrambled" in Setup. So thanks for that!

Still don't understand why it went wrong, but maybe I am just being a bit thick.

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Fixed!

    Hi,

Just thought I would post this in case anyone else is as think as I am:

I didn't know that by pressing the OK button on the remote and then using the left and right buttons, you could effectively restrict the channels available in the TV guide (changing channel group).

I now do and will go and make myself a dunces hat.

    Thanks,
    Chris
