Hello all,

First I need to say WONDERFUL plug-in. I have been struggling with My TV Series and programming my remote to really allow me to do all I need to do with MediaPortal.

This brings me to my situation. Prior to installing and configuring MCE Replacement Plug-in (Latest Tested Version) my arrows/directional/navigation key worked perfectly. One line per on click.

At this point once disabling native MP MCE support they are doing a double click. I have had this problem before when I was programming my logitech Harmony to work with MCE but after installing MP it went away.

Essentially here is my situation.

- MediaPortal most recent release candidate.
- Latest Tested Version of MCE Replacement Plugin
- Logitech Harmony Remote with MCE Remote 1039 codes programmed in.

I looked around and noticed that there are repeat delay and held delays but uncertain of how they work.

Any help would be fanastic!

Thanks all.

The double-clicks are due to the remote driver handling certain buttons and then the plugin handling them again.

In the plugin go to the Button Mapping area and click "Remove replacement driver mappings" this will solve the problem.

Alternatively, you can disable the HidIr service in the device configuration advanced area, but this will stop the arrow buttons from working outside of mediaportal.

Let me know how you go.

    Cheers,

Well I think I figured this out... Using https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/problem_different_remote-t25184.html I realized that there were added IR commands 2 times list. After clearing mce replacement driver codes. It seems to be working the way I want :). EXCELLENT FORUM. My quest isn't over so I will be trying to contriute as much as possible!

Thank you for your blazing fast reply! This is a great piece of software with a great developer at the helm!

Hehe, good timing. I just finished typing my reply and you had figured it out already.

Let me know if you have any other trouble.

Well I was trying to post another reply but it seems to have merged them all. But anywho. Yes I figured it out and was like, OOPS! Didn't want to repost a known issue.

Unfortunately the same problem is arising with the volume setting when using the directional it is fine but it is having trouble with the volume now... Interesting.

But again I perhaps have fixed it.... Should try a little harder before posting haha.

Well it seems as though I haven't. Unfortunately. I am not sure why but it seems that if I press the Volume Up it won't allow me to click Volume Down until I have pressed it once and it has done nothing. Let me know if there is anything you could help me with.

I'll try to duplicate the problem here and get back to you.

In the meantime, try updating to the latest version when it becomes available in an hour or so.

I think i have fixed the problem... I decided to disable the hidir and used the different remote option. BTW what coding language are you using? I just started a job as a software developer/professional services and i am trying to see what the generally accepted languages are at this time. I mainly program for the web but would love to break into desktop applications

Cool. Good to hear you got it working.

The entire MediaPortal project and all of my work on plugins and apps for it is in C# .net 2.0

    Good luck,
