    Hi!

I've been using Mediaportal, and recently I bought a NAS to store all my data.

I have the NAS mapped as network drive Y: in windows, and have been using correctly for a month, but lately, when I start MP, I go to Music, or films, and it appears completely empty. If I close MP, then go to the NAS in the explorer, and then open MP again, everything shows up!

I've noticed that with network drives, the first time you access, there is a delay, so maybe during this delay MP thinks that the directory doesn't exist, or something.

Anyone has experienced this problem? Any solutions/hacks? Is very annoying, because I have to close MP and go to the explorer to use it every time I reboot the PC.

    Thank you!

    Hi!

My NAS is a Western Digital World - White bar edition, and the OS is Windows XP.

Recently I have seen that sometimes the video and music listings work, but most of times don't. Yesterday I saw something strange:

    - I started MP, and video and music listings did not appear.
    - I started MySeries plugin, and the series chapters were all in his place. I saw a chapter, and it sent everything ok.
    - Upon finalisation of the chapter, I went to music and video again, and nothing appeared.
    - I closed MP and started again, and nothing changed.

Again, if I exit MP and open the drive in the explorer, MP works fine.

So... I don't know exactly how the net connections work in XP, but it seems that there is a delay in the first directory listing, and it seems that when MP tries to read the listing and it finds this delay, it assumes that there is no drive, and does not show the drive any more...

It seems a problem with the initialization of MP with shared directories, and it's very bad, because I can't use MP without closing it, opening the explorer, and starting it again.

Any dev has any thoughts about it?? pleaase
