Hello,
I have installed Mediaportal 1.1.0 RC1 now on a server with a Technotrend USB DVB-S card for testing. Runs nicely after only minor starting problems. I have also installed Mediaportal on some other PCs and Notebooks using them as clients for streaming TV and in general for watching pictures and videos and hearing music located on the server. Does also work fantastic.
But now I have some questions:
1. when I change TV channels, in ~3 out of 10 cases I get a message 'no signal' and no picture. If i then just choose the same channel again, in 10 out of 10 cases everything works ok (I have seen this reported by others but without any useful answers). Strange thing is, that when I do the same on the fastest PC (a client, not the one with the TV card connected!) it seems to work better (9 out of 10 cases) than on the slower machines.
2. when I schedule a recording on a channel, after the recording ends, the channel is still 'occupied' or 'switched on' on the server. This means that a lot of the other channels are blocked on all clients. Is there a way to 'free' the channel or switch it 'off' after a recording?
3. if one channel is chosen for recording, all channels on the other transponders are blocked (and marked red in the channel list). Why does using F7 and F8 not skip over these unavailable channels? At the moment I always have to go into the channel list to see which channels are available and chose a channel there. But maybe I am just doing something wrong.
4. I would like to use a remote control (from a technisat skystar 2 card which registers as a HID) but I miss the 'go back' function (ESC on the keyboard). I have absolutely no idea where and how I can change the key mappings. There is an 'exit' key on the remote which I would like to use for this function.
Please be patient with me if some ar all questions have already been answered somewhere, but I may be too stupid to search for the right keywords. I have already gone through a lot of postings with similar content but my problems are still unsolved.
BR,
Jörg.
